GV II

House, now 2 houses. C17. Timberframed, plastered, 2 storeys
with steep half-hipped old red tile roof and rear outshut under
catslide roof. Now 2 2-room-wide houses with central chimneys to
each, 4 windows, and doors next to front corners. Chimneys
emerge through front slope of roof, one by ridge, the other
further down slope. Probably built as a 3-unit house with old
central chimney at upper end (S), and another chimney built in
the cross passage when converted to 2 houses. Not on Clintons
Estate map of 1588.
