School. c1870; altered and enlarged. Coursed squared sandstone
with red sandstone dressings, slate roof with red cockscomb
ridge tiles. Rectangular main range at right-angles to road
and set back from it, with a small wing attached to the front
left corner and a lean-to porch or narthex extended across the
front from this. Tall single-storey in Gothic style, with very
steeply pitched roofs. The porch has a segmental-pointed
doorway to the left and 3 small segmental-pointed windows;
above this, the gabled facade has a large window of 3 stepped
lancet lights under a 2-centred relieving arch, a coped gable
with an apex chimney and a small pinnacle at the left corner.
The 4-window right-hand side wall has segmental-pointed
windows; the left side has a C20 flat-roofed addition. The
attached gabled wing on a parallel axis is in matching style,
with a 3-light window in the gabled facade.
