House. Circa 1820s. Stuccoed and blocked out, return walls
roughcast; slate roof with deep eaves with moulded eaves
brackets; stacks with brick shafts, left end stack projecting.
Plan: L plan with rear left service wing.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay front with steps up to
a central 6-panel front door with an overlight with lozenge
glazing bars. Doorcase with pilasters with includes fret
decoration, panelled reveals. 2 ground floor and 3 first floor
long casement windows with glazing bars and margin panes, some
old glass. The 3 first floor windows have shallow bowed cast
iron balconies of a lattice design with stars at the
intersections.
Interior: Not inspected but likely to be of interest.
One of a row of good Georgian houses in Union Terrace.
