Cottage. C18. L-shaped building, mostly of coursed stone rubble with end brick dressings. Thatched roof with end brick chimneystacks. Multi-light timber casements and later lean-to doorcase. Plaque to Mr William H. Long, author of the Isle of Wight Dialect Dictionary and other works and editor of the Oglander Memoirs, who was born in this house October 6th, 1839.
