Terrace of dwellings. 1830-33, refenestrated late C19-early
C20. Architect C.A.Busby. Stucco over brick and rubble, roof
concealed behind parapet. One of 3 short terraces abutting to
form U-plan group known as Lansdowne Square, No.9 abuts No.21A
Lansdowne Place (qv) to east. Three storeys over basement, 1:5
bays, end bay recessed at junction with No 6 (qv), giant
pilasters carrying entablature and moulded cornice with
pilasters to second, or attic, storey continued in low
parapet, end bay left unlit, second storey casements, first
floor sash windows with one vertical glazing bar, leaded panes
in end 2 bays right, blind boxes, ground floor windows with
moulded surrounds, round arched head entrances end bay left,
third bay left and second bay right, approached by short
flight of steps. Cast-iron railings returned from entrances
along street frontage with gates to basement areas.
