Stable 36 metres north-west of
Navestock Hall

GV II

Stable. 3 N bays medieval, probably early C15, original
purpose unknown. Weatherboarded with half-hipped, peg-tiled
roof. INTERIOR: aisled, with rear shores to the arcade posts
passing the aisle ties. Crown post roof. No sooting. N bay
originally divided from the rest by a wattle and daubed
partition truss in the shape of a 'spere' with a wide central
ground-floor opening. Halved and bridled scarf on aisle plate.
Loft with 2 light casement window in N end. The stable and the
granary (qv) form a group with Navestock Hall (qv).
