SK 1615-1715 ALREWAS C.P. MAIN STREET (North side)

9/25 No. 113 and No. 115
GV II
Pair of houses incorporating shop. C17, remodelled early C18. Timber
framed core, outer walls rebuilt in brick and painted; plain tile roof;
brick ridge stack and integral end stack. Roughly L-shaped plan, main
range aligned east-west facing south, shop wing to the west aligned
north-south. One storey and attic with storey band and original timber
wall plate; 1:2 bays projecting gabled wing to the left, main range to
the right, glazing bar casements, those to the ground floor have segmental
heads, 2 gabled attic dormers to the main range, late C19 shop front to the
wing with C20 attic window above; 2 doors to main range left of centre.
Interior: exposed timber framing to the partition wall between the two
houses, within one of the infill panels in No. 113 is inscribed the date
1610.
