Forecourt wall and piers approx. 2 metres to front of No. 17

Forecourt wall and piers. Circa 1700. Low rendered brick wall with
stone coping. Pair of painted grey sandstone ashlar square piers, each with
moulded plinth, recessed corners, raised and fielded panels, moulded cornice,
and globe finial. The low wall shows evidence of former railings above. The
matching wall and piers to the left of the entrance to No. 17 (q.v.) were
replaced when the shop-front was added c.1900.
