10/74 Garden gates and gate piers
- approx. 10 metres to south-
east of Berwick House

Garden gates and gate piers. Circa 1878, probably by Stevens of Birmingham.
Pair of square grey sandstone ashlar gate piers with moulded cornices and large
carved urn finials. Pair of low delicate wrought-iron gates with dog bars,
scrolled panels and cresting to centre. Stevens carried out alterations and
additions to Berwick House (q.v.) in 1878. The gates and piers are
incorporated in the late C19 formal garden laid out to the south-east of the
house, also with brick terrace walls (not included on this list).
