House, now offices. Late C15 or early C16, heated in C17. C18 and C19
brick refronting. Timber frame, red brick front. Tiled roof. 3 bays, 2
to left originally an open hall. 1 storey and attic. Rendered plinth.
C20 entrances and ground floor windows. Plat band. C19 sashes in reveals
with cambered heads cross eaves line in 3 gables to attic. Rendered
course at eaves. Weatherboarded right gable, colourwashed below, plates
and purlins exposed. Continuous outshut to rear with 2 gabled dormers.
Later flat roofed addition. Tall C19 block to rear of No. 29. Interior:
C17 fireplace with timber lintel set diagonally between 2 right bays.
Cambered tie beams with queen struts to collars clasping purlins, curved
wind braces. (RCHM Typescript).
