4 houses in terrace, formerly 2. Early C18. Colourwashed brick
with pantile roof. 2 storeys. 2 pairs of doors to right and
left of elevation, all plank except for C20 door to 50.
Pilaster strips close elevation right and left. C19 shop
display window right of 50. Otherwise 3 renewed casements to
ground floor under segmental heads. Blind window in centre.
First floor with four 3-light mid C18 casements separated by
blind windows. Platband at first floor. Dentil eaves cornice.
Gabled roof with central ridge stack and internal gable-end
stacks north and south. North gable head with tumbling. Rear
with a 2-storey outshut right and left with a single-storey
outshut between them of C19. INTERIOR. No.54 inspected.
Rebuilt fireplace in north wall of ground-floor room with a
firehood. Studwork partitions to first floor, the south wall
of studs closing a former access point to present No.56.
Winder staircases by stacks.
