2 adjoining houses. Late C18. Timber-framed and plastered
peg-tiled roof, red brick stacks. Rectangular plan. 2 storeys
attics and cellar. Front N elevation: 2 similar units under
mansard roof. Together, 2 window range. Ground floor, 2 small
canted bay windows on plastered corbels, casement glazing,
1x3, 4x3, 1x3 panes. One flush 4-panelled door with upper now
glazed (No.16). One boarded door with upper light. First
floor, two 3-light casement windows (No.16 has moulded
architraves), glazing bars, 6x2 panes. 2 attic dormers, flat
roofed, No.14 sliding sash 4x3 panes, No.16 iron casement with
C20 leaded glazing. Ridge stack at E end, second stack behind
roof towards W. W end elevation: partially obscured, wall
plates and side purlin of mansard roof visible, simple pitch
to rear, high single light casement window. Rear not visible
as block set into N re-entrant angle at rear of White Horse
Inn (qv).
