Offices and club, comprising central C18 house with brick,
timber-framed units each side reworked in C20. Large rear C20
single storey meeting room. Brick, and plastered timber
framing, peg tile and slate roofs, red brick stacks. T shaped
plan of triple street range and rear C20 addition. 2 storeys,
attics and cellar.
Front, SW elevation: central unit orange/red brick, ruddled
mortar with white tuck pointing, 3 window range, central
doorway with flat cornice hood, stucco surround, recessed
panelled doorcase, overlight and 6 panelled door. Above, first
floor, 3x4 paned sash window with good brick voussoirs. Either
side, canted bay windows through 2 storeys to articulated
modillioned cornice, plain parapet above. Bay windows, sashes,
ground floor 2x4, 3x4, 2x4 panes, first floor C20 restored and
similar but with panelled wooden `frieze' over windows. Steps
to front door with cellar grille to N. To N, unit of stuccoed
brickwork with remnants of ashlar lining with slated, hipped
roof, obscured from street by prominent C20 fascia boarding,
stack at SE end abutting stack of central unit. Ground floor
C20 6 panelled door in simple doorway and sash window 4x4
panes. First floor, central C20 2-light casement 4x4 panes. To
S of central house, timber-framed and rendered unit, all
features C20, hipped slated gambrel roof with 2 single
casement dormer windows. First floor, large 3-light plain
casement window. Ground floor, mock bow shopfront window with
adjacent 6 fielded panelled door with overlight. Cellar
grille.
Rear NE elevation: central unit rendered, (probably
timber-framed) 2 large C20 casement window. N stack partly
exterior with adjacent fully glazed C20 door. Ground floor
obscured by flat roofed meeting hall with French window. Wings
have slated roofs and a variety of C20 casement window and
doors. N end elevation: red brick walling extended back for 2
storey integral lean-to, roof hip peg-tiled. Ground floor, 2
small C20 casement windows and one blocked original window.
First floor, segment headed sliding sash window 4x4 panes.
Attic C20 2-light casement window.
