House. 1848. Of painted gault brick with pyramid slate roof
and 2 rectangular gault brick stacks. 3 storeys and cellars.
Front elevation: second floor of front has 4 small 6-paned
double-hung sash windows with stone sills. First floor has
four 12-paned double-hung sashes with later louvred shutters
and all windows with flat arches. Ground floor has door to
yard passage with 4 flush panels, 2 similar double hung sashes
and 2 cellar lights. Entrance door with semicircular arch and
fanlight of narrow vertical arch topped strips. 4 moulded
panels and 3 stone steps with 1 bootscraper. Exposed S flank
with 3 blind semicircular arched recesses with moulded
surrounds, moulded storey band and plaque with `AD 1848'. Rear
elevation: of red Flemish bond brickwork with blue headers and
3 square windows on second floor. First floor has two 12-paned
double-hung sashes and a central door with stone balcony slab
and wrought-iron balcony railing. Back door of 6 flush panels
and horizontal rectangular fanlight with cross glazing
pattern. One 16-paned double-hung sash on ground floor and
2-light small paned horizontal sliding window.
INTERIOR: central hall leading to well, stairs against rear
wall with columns, newels and stick balusters. Front windows
have internal folding shutters. Complete interior of panelled
door in moulded architraves. Cupboard on ground floor with
hexagonal glass pane in centre. Fireplace with egg-and-dart
surround.
GARDEN BOUNDARY WALL to S of red Flemish bond brickwork and
blue/grey headers.
