Formerly known as: Nos.23 AND 23A GREENGATE STREET.
Two shops and offices. Early to mid C18. Brick with ashlar
dressings; tile roof with brick end stacks. 2 storeys with
attic; 4-window range. Modillioned cornice over ground floor;
quoins to 1st floor and top timber frieze and dentilled
cornice. Round-headed entrance has doorcase with fluted
pilasters and open pediment; fanlight with radial glazing bars
over 6-panel door; 2 flanking late C20 small-paned shopfronts.
1st floor has windows with rubbed brick flat arches with
ashlar keys over 9-pane horned sashes in moulded frames; 4
pedimented dormers with 6-pane horned sashes. Rear has lean-to
outshut and gabled wing; flat-roofed stair wing. INTERIOR has
stick-baluster stair.
