The Guardian Building

GV II

Town house. Probably late C18. Narrow-coursed rubble with
granite quoins and shallow segmental arches; dry slate roof
with moulded eaves cornice. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys;
5-window range. C20 twelve-pane horned sashes to 1st floor;
C20 alterations to ground floor with 2 large display windows
replacing the 4 original windows; central doorway with C20
six-panel doors. INTERIOR not inspected except to note
original moulded cornice to right-hand room and early/mid C19
moulded cornice and ceiling band to left-hand room.
