Terrace of 2 pairs of small town houses flanking a similar
house with coach house and similar small house on right.
Early/mid C19. Granite and killas rubble with granite
dressings; stucco on studwork over carriage doorway; dry slate
roofs except for No.49 where replaced with asbestos slate;
brick end stacks; cast-iron ogee gutters, some with lions'
heads, except for No.57. Double-depth plan, each with one room
to front. 2 storeys; overall 7-window range. Original 12-pane
hornless sashes to No.47 (left) and ground floor of 49,
otherwise later copies; 1-window range to each house plus
extra window to No.51 above carriage doorway; pairs with
central pairs of doorways; No.51 with central house doorway;
overlights and original 3-panel doors to Nos 47 & 49; door
with 2 round-arched panels to No.55, otherwise C20 doors;
overlights. INTERIOR not inspected. One of a good C19 row.
