Architect R Norman Shaw. Design exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1866. An
early work in uncharacteristic Gothic style. Asymmetrical. 2 storeys and attics
red brick. Tiled roof with some bands of curved tiles. The front elevation has
2 gables progressively set back on the right hand side which is also of lower
elevation than the left. 3 light dormer window. Long and short quoins. 4
mullioned and transomed windows, the one in the let gable having hood moulding.
Long and short quoins to window surrounds. 1 round-headed door with hood moulding
and 1 doorcase having hipped tiled weather porch with wooden supports.
