Identified on map SO 60 SW as Heavens Gate.
Detached villa. 1820. Mainly smooth rendered, some painted rubble to road
elevation, welsh slate low pitched hipped roof. Compact front block, but complex
overall form with various wings. Two storeys, 2+3-windowed arched glazing
bar sashes over two 3-light bows and central 6-panel part-glazed door plus
two small arched lights under fanlight; C20 glazed porch, C19 verandah, now
with asbestos-cement roof, carried on 5 decorative iron standards. On return
right at first floor two small arched lights and one light as front, all to
brick arches.
Interior retains original shutters but plan/layout has been modified.
