Mill building, probably warehouse, now unoccupied industrial premises. Early-mid
C19. Coursed squared stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys with attic; 11 x 4 bays,
bays 4-6 under gable. Doorways have plain stone surrounds; windows have stone
lintels and projecting cills and are 6-paned, some now blocked. Ground floor:
dorways to bays 2, 4 (blocked wide door), 8/9 (wide door) and 11. Windows to other
bays, those to bays 1 and 2 barred. First floor: bay 2 has a 4-panel loading door;
bay 5 has loading door with same above and hoist in gable. Paired gutter brackets.
Rear: window to each bay of ground and first floors, ground-floor windows barred.
Left return: window to each bay of ground and first floors, ground-floor windows
barred; keyed Venetian window to gable. Right return: 2 blocked doorways; keyed
Venetian window to gable. The barred windows may indicate that this building was
used to store acids and dyes. Part of mill complex.
