C17, with early C18 additions. Originally 2 houses, roughly L-shaped
in plan with inner elevations facing on to grass low-walled forecourt
above road level and with steps up to side door. Rubble, stone-tiled
roofs. The left hand main elevation has 2 storeys + attics in 2 gables.
Attic, windows casements with moulded stone mullion and dripmoulds. 1st
floor windows sashes, with glazing bars in reveals, french doors on ground
floor. Later 'lean-to' glasshouses cover the ground floor on each side
of a projecting 2 storey central porch with narrow angle pilasters and
plain band under moulded cornice, blocking course. Window over door has
semi-circular head, moulded architrave surround. Keystone and imposts,
sash with glazing bars. Square-headed door opening with pulvinated frieze
and flat cornice over. The right-hand elevation has 2 storeys plus attics
in 2 gables with eaves projecting between gables. Attic windows casements
in wood frames. On 1st floor are 2 3-light and 1 2-light windows, casements,
with moulded stone mullions and continuous dripmould. Central doorway
with chamfered square opening and original studded door. One 4-light
stone-mullioned casement on each side of door, the right hand window mutilated
to take extra door. Continuous dripmould over windows, raised above central
door. Forecourt wall has carved ornamental urns at intervals.

Nos 10 and 10 B form a group with No 13 and 14 to 18 (consec).
