Farmhouse, now house. Early C17, restored mid-C20. Timber-framed with
painted brick and rendered infill, brick replacement walling and plain
tiled roof. Three framed bays aligned north/south with large sandstone
and brick chimney inserted between central and south bay with brick ridge
stack. Single storey and attic with half-dormers. Framing: three large
panels from sill to wall-plate at north end and four small panels else-
where; long straight braces and collar and tie-beam truss with three struts
to collar and central strut above at north gable end. West front elevation:
C20 casements throughout; ground floor has two 3-light and a 2-light window;
three gabled half-dormers with 2-light casements; main entrance to left has
a C20 gabled timber-framed porch and a C20 glazed door. Interior: central
bay on ground floor has a large fireplace, stop-chamfered main beams and some
close-set studs dividing it from the north bay. A former external chimney at
the north gable end has been reduced in height and capped with a lean-to roof.
