4/27 Vase on pedestal 5m south
of Somerley Park House

GV II

Vase on pedestal. Dated 'Coade, Lambeth, 1840'. Coade stone square-plan pedestal
adorned on corners with sphinx and rams' heads, and swags on faces. Vase has fluted
base and stem, heads in relief on bowl with vines and bunches of grapes below rim,
and twisted vine root handles. This vase stands in small enclosed garden immediately
south of house.
