GV II*

Walls and gatehouse enclosing a courtyard, early C17 with various subsequent
alterations. Walls in English bond brickwork with tiled coping. Gatehouse
in English-bond brickwork with pyramidal roofs with stone-slate margins. It
consists of a central gateway flanked by 2 small, 2 storey lodges set diagonally
The gateway is of ashlar and has a moulded, semi-circular arch above which are
2 brick merlons. The lodges have square headed stone-mullioned windows with
