SX 79 NE CHERITON BISHOP

6/18 Barn approx. 8m north-west
of Tillerton Farmhouse

Barn. Probably C18. Cob on rubble footings, gable-ended corrugated iron roof
(formerly thatch). 2 storeys facing south-east. Large doorway slightly right of
centre contains early folding plank door. Presumably reused 12-pane sash to right
and first floor loading bay left off centre. Series of pigeon holes with slate
floors under the eaves, 3 to left and 2 to right. 3-bay roof comprising plain A-
frame trusses with pegged lap-jointed collars.
