GV II

House, formerly house and shop. Early C14 with later roof raise and
alterations. Timber framed and rough rendered. Red plain tiled roof. Central
red brick chimney stack. 2 storeys and cellar. Central pentice board. 2
window range of vertically sliding sashes with horns in moulded surrounds.
Ground floor left C19 flat headed shop bay with small paned glazing and louvre
under. 2 vertically boarded doors. Original features include crown post roof,
jettied first floor ceiling now underbuilt, brick fireplace, bridging joist re-
used, originally a C12 top plate with lap dovetails with housed entrant
shoulders. Wattles to east wall with withy ties. C18 detail to doors, windows
etc.
