TL 73 SE WETHERSFIELD BAKER'S FARM LANE

2/92 Bakers's Farmhouse

House. Early C19. Red brick in Flemish bond, roofed with handmade red clay
tiles. L-plan, facing SE, with rear wing at left end. Internal stacks at right
end, and at left end at rear of main range. Late C19 2-storey lean-to extension
with slate roof in right rear angle, completing an almost rectangular plan. 2
storeys. SE elevation, 3-window range of early C19 sashes of 16 lights with
flat brick arches. Central 6-panel door, the top 2 panels glazed, in reeded
doorcase with moulded flat canopy on profiled brackets. SW elevation, ground
floor, one slatted window, one C19 casement, one early C19 sash of 16 lights;
first floor, 3 C19 casements and one similar sash, all the windows having flat
brick arches. Fully hipped roof. In right return wall of rear extension, one
C19 horizontally sliding sash of 24 lights.
