House, now 2 dwellings. Late C16, altered and extended C20. Timber
frame, rendered with some weatherboarding. Thatched roof. 2 storey 2 bay
'hall' range with 2 storey and attic cross wing to right. Ground floor:
2 entrances, to left a 3 light flush frame casement. First floor jettied
with curved braces to main bearers, 1, 2 and 3 light flush frame
casements. Gable to cross wing to right is weatherboarded with a small
attic casement. On ridge where hall meets wing is an axial red brick
stack with 4 diagonally set flues. Right return is jettied with dragon
beam at angle, curved braces as at front. A ground floor small pane
horizontal sliding sash, first floor 3 light casement. Weatherboarded
gable to rear of cross wing, ground floor C20 outshuts. Casements to
rear of main range. Added to left is a lower 2 bay C20 block with a
tiled roof, lean-to projection to right front, gabled dormers. Interior:
moulded binding beams, close studding, clasped purlin roof. (RCHM 1910:
