9/80 Torre Cottage

Small house. Circa late C17 or early C18 with C20 additions. Rendered rubble and
cob walls. Hipped thatched roof. Central axial rendered brick stack.
Plan: 2-room plan, each room heated by central axial stack with back-to-back
fireplaces, likely originally to have had baffle entry in front of stack but entry
is now into left-hand room. C20 additions at rear.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2-window front, 3 windows to ground floor. C20
3-light casements except for ground floor right-hand window which is 1-light. To
left of centre is C19 or C20 open-fronted thatched porch behind which has probably
the original wide plank door. C20 1-storey additions at rear.
Interior: open fireplaces with wooden lintels in both rooms.
