House, subsequently Basset Arms Hotel, now offices. Probably mid C19,
altered. Roughcast at ground floor, stucco above, presumably on rubble;
slate roof. Rectangular double-depth plan. Two storeys and 4 bays; plinth,
raised quoins; doorway in 2nd bay, protected by an altered flat-roofed
porch with plain square-headed outer opening, moulded cornice, and
blocking course; 12-pane sashed windows on both floors, those at ground
floor under floating cornices on consoles and those above with moulded
architraves. Hipped roof with projecting eaves, side wall chimneys. Interior
altered.
