Farmhouse. Dated and inscribed on lintel over side door E. & E.H. 1709 with Cl9
alterations. Whitewashed coursed sandstone on chamfered plinth under rounded
graduated greenslate roof with stone and rendered chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3
bays and stables in an overall fiddle shape, hence the name. C20 door, under
painted fanlight with intersecting glazing bars in fluted doorcase with impost
blocks, dentilled cornice and swan-neck pediment. sash windows in painted
architraves, that above entrance false. Blocked earlier round-headed windows on
both floors. Dairy door to rear has inscribed lintel. Stable has plank door
with external stone steps to loft above. Listing excludes C20 porch, garage and
brick extensions.
