House, probably. C18. Rubble stone with large granite lintels to ground floor
openings. Segmental brick arches to first floor openings. Slurried slate roof
with early brick chimneys at gable ends. 2 storeys, regular 4-window front.
Two 16-pane sash windows, without ears, flank C19 gabled porch with stone base,
open timber frame with corrugated iron roof. Early C19 6-panelled entrance
door. 4-pane sash window to right. On first floor three 16-pane sash windows
without ears above ground floor windows. Blocked window above entrance door.
On right, 2 storey rubble C18 barn extension under slurried slate roof. On
ground floor planked door flanked by 2 small slits. On first floor planked
stable door asymmetrically placed. Evidence of heightening of roof. Lean-to
extension at rear and lean-to for garage on left-hand gable end. (Roof timbers
not accessible). Gable ends of mill on opposite side of stream. Axle for
wheel and some machinery surviving. Rubble stone well to south-east of house.
