2 cottages, possibly late C17. Whitewashed rubble with some plastered cob upper
walls. Slate roof (originally thatched). Brick chimneys at gable ends and
lateral stack at front. 2 storeys, asymmetrical, 3 window range, all 2-light
horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars. Cliffe Cottage to left has plain
door to left of lateral brick stack rising from front wall. Corner Cottage to
right has C19 wooden gabled porch with slate roof. Extension, possibly circa
C18 to rear. Corner Cottage has a Cornish range (Ternill and Rogers, Mahers,
Redruth) in the fireplace on the south-east gable and a corner fireplace below
the front chimney stack. Interior of Cliffe Cottage not inspected.
