ST 78 NW WICKWAR

4/210 Firingsclose Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Mid - late C17. Rendered rubble; double Roman tiled roof. Single
storey and attics in 2 stone gables to the left. Four C20 2-light casement
windows. Off-centre plank door in gabled projecting porch. Rear service wing
of one storey with an attic in a gable. Interior: stop chamfered beams; plank
door in ovolo moulded doorcase with converging stops. A small example of the
gabled vernacular farmhouse type.
