NZ 61 NE LOCKWOOD KILTON LANE (off north
side), Kilton

3/71 Barn/cart shed, stables and
byre, c.40m. north of Green Hills
Farmhouse.

Planned farm buildings mid C19. Dressed sandstone and sandstone rubble with
margin-tooled dressings. Clay pantile roofs. 'E'-plan. North range:
barn/cart shed with granary over. Stable doors and boarded granary
openings. Cart shed at east end of range has round-headed opening with
voussoirs in south face. Stable ranges form east and west wings, with
stable doors and boarded openings. Middle range: byre, has round-headed
opening with voussoirs in middle of east face and similar doorway in north
gable end. All buildings have kingpost roof trusses. Brick single-storey
lean-to extension on north side of barn/cart shed is not of interest.
Partly disused at time of survey.
