II

Lodge to Longwood Hall. c1867.By Lockwood and Mawson. Dressed
stone, Welsh blue-slate roof. 3-bays. T-shaped with wing to
right. Single-storey. Plinth, impost band, modillioned cornice.
All windows are arched with keystone. 1st bay has canted bay with
Venetian window the smaller lights in the side walls, hipped roof.
Central doorway has open porch with Corinthian pilasters, one
supporting 2 arches at right angles with console keystones, flat
roof. Gabled wing has single-sash window. Coped gable. 2 tall
stacks with dog-kennel-type caps. Other arched windows to left and
right returns

A good example of a C19 lodge retaining its original fenestration.
