gritstone pillar. Angled sides and sloping top plate beneath round-headed
panel. Raised lettering reads:

On upper panel: ROTHERHAM & PLEASLEY / ROAD / ASTON / CUM / AUGHTON

On left side: MANSFIELD / 17 1/4 MILES / PLEASLEY / - MILES (part buried)

On right side: ROTHERHAM / 6 MILES.
