Barn. Early C19. Coursed, dressed sandstone, C20 pantile roof. L-shaped
plan. 2 storeys, 7 bays with 3-bay wing to rear left. Wallstone plinth.
Tall central waggon entrance with quoined jambs and segmental arch; 2 rows of
slit vents to each outer bay. Eaves band to hipped roof. Rear: matching
waggon entrance with blocked hatch over. Left return: quoined segmental-
arched doorway on left; 2 hatches to ist floor in rebated quoined surrounds;
slit vents.
Interior: king-post trusses with diagonal struts.
Important location at south end of village street (Brampton Road).
