approximately 10 metres
east of Ingmanthorpe Hall

Gate piers and gates. Mid C18 piers, gates probably C19. Ashlar piers,
wrought-iron gates. The inner piers are approximately 3 metres high and
have a high plinth; the piers of rusticated ashlar are overlain by a
pilaster strip on all 4 sides; the cornice is elaborately moulded and an
entablature above supports a moulded stem, the ball finials missing. A
linking wall with moulded coping at the height of the plinth connects the
inner with the outer piers which are approximately 2.5 metres high and lack
the stem and ball finials. The gates, of 2 leaves, have elaborately
scrolled detail to bars, dogbars, frame and lock rail. Included for group
value.
