Wortley Cottage

House and shop. Mid-late C17 with alterations. Rendered on stone, with sloped
plinth visible. 2 storeys and attic, 1 wide bay; gable end to road. Half-
glazed C20 door at left under bracketed gabled hood. C20 4-light transomed shop
window at right. Paired 8-pane sashes on first floor linked by projecting
cill. 6-pane attic sash with similar cill. Moulded eaves coping. INTERIOR:
stout joists with near-flat cyma-moulded chamfer; C18 stone fireplace.
