Village Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Mid C18 with probable mid C19 additions and alterations
including heightening. Pinkish-brown brick with pantile roof. Central
hallway plan with range to rear. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central entrance a 4-
panel door with decorative overlight within pilastered doorcase with frieze
and hood. 4-pane sashes throughout under elliptical arches, those to ground
floor break 3-course first-floor band. Overhanging eaves. End stacks.
Tumbled-in brickwork to gable ends. Interior: C18 dogleg staircase has rod
on vase balusters. 6-panel and plank doors. Beams to most ceilings.
Bressumer beam with tongue stops to kitchen.
