Bank. 1838. For the Sheffield and Rotherham Bank. Ashlar sandstone, roof not visible. Classical style.

EXTERIOR: two storeys, 3x3 bays with attached screen wall to rear right. Chamfered quoins to the outer bays. Central recess with double doors beneath studded panel in eared architrave; modillioned cornice on scrolled consoles. Outer bays have tall 6/6 sashes in architraves with pulvinated friezes and cornices. First floor: 3/6 sashes in architraves with projecting sills on blocks.

Full entablature with 'BANK' in bold raised letters divided by consoles. Parapet with groups of recessed panels to each bay. Attached screen wall to rear right has two segmental archways.
