GV II

Pair of cottages. Circa C18 or early C19. Rendered stone rubble slate roof
with gabled ends and red clay ridge tiles. Rendered projecting gable end
stacks with tall shafts.
Plan: Pair of cottages, probably each of one main room plan heated from
gable end stacks and with small unheated service room at the centre.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window south front circa early C19
casements with glazing bars, slate sills and segmented heads of 3-lights,
the centre small and of 2 lights. Doorways to left and right of centre with
C19 4-panel doors and verandah with chamfered timber posts supporting slate
hipped canopy. The front of the house was probably formerly slate hung and
a patch of slate hanging remains below the first floor left hand window.
Rear elevation not inspected.
Interior: Not accessible at time of survey, 1989.
