TL 73 NE LITTLE YELDHAM CHURCH GREEN, West Side

Cottage, C17, extended in C19. Timber-framed, plastered and weatherboarded,
roofs thatched and slated. 2-bay cottage aligned NW-SE with chimney stack at
SE end, C17. Lean-to extension to NE, forming a catslide roof, C19. This
cottage is of one storey with attics and has a thatched roof. 2-storey range
added at SE end in mid-C19, with hipped roof at SW end and chimney stack at
NE end, forming an L-plan. This part has a slate roof. SE elevation, plain
boarded door in rustic porch, 2-window range of double-hung sashes of 6 lights,
mid-C19. Pierced ornamental ridge tiles. The interior of the earlier cottage
has jowled storey posts.
