One house, now 2 cottages. c1760 with later alterations. Whitewashed
coursed rubble, stone slate roof to left and C20 concrete interlocking tiles
with stone slates at eaves to right. 2 storeys, 2 first-floor windows, with
lower extension to right. Central part-glazed 4-panel door in dressed stone
surround with projecting slab above. 4-pane sash windows in dressed stone
surrounds. Shaped kneeler to right. Ashlar coping to ends and centre. End
stacks. Part-glazed door in quoined surround in extension to right. Board
door in dressed stone quoined surround in screen wall of rubble with ashlar
coping to left. Date provided by documentary evidence. North Yorkshire and
Cleveland Vernacular Buildings Study Group Report No 820.
