ST 93 SE CHILMARK THE STREET

1/105 Annexe to Chilmark Manor,
(formerly listed as north-west
6.1.66 wing of Manor)

GV II

Annexe containing staff accommodation. C16 and C17, altered
1970s. Dressed limestone, Welsh slate roof, gable-end stacks.
Two-storey, 3-window. Ground floor has C20 doors to left, and C20
3-light and 4-light mullioned windows to right. First floor has
4-light C20 mullioned window either side of 3-light C20 mullioned
window. Coped verges to roof. Right return has C20 external
stack. Left return has single round-arched light to first floor,
projecting bread oven to ground floor. Rear has C20 mullioned
windows similar to front.
Interior not accessible at time of survey (March 1985), but said to
contain large open fireplace and deeply-chamfered beams.
Extensively renovated for conversion to staff accommodation in
1970s.
