GV II
House and attached barns. Late C18 or early C19. Roughcast stone with ashlar
dressings and slate roofs. U-plan, house of 2 storeys with lower outbuildings.
South elevation of 3 bays with flanking recessed and lower outbuildings, part of
that to left is now part of house. Quoins. Windows have C20 small-paned
casements, that to 1st bay of ground floor replaced by canted bay window.
Central round-headed entrance has open pediment and small-paned glazed door.
Ashlar gable-end stacks with caps. Outbuilding to left has inserted C20
windows. North elevation has sashed windows with glazing bars, those to 1st
floor with opening lights; central bay has round-headed stair window with
pilasters and key, intersecting glazing bars to head; small window below and to
right. Narrow flanking bays have entrances. Barn to left has stable entrance
with paired doors; end lean-to outbuilding. Barn to right has central entrance
as opposite, sashed window to left, double mounting block to right; end
round-headed recess with bowl and later garage wing in keeping.
