Hall house, now cottage. Late C15, altered C19 and extended late C20. Timber frame with painted
brick infill, partly underbuilt in painted brick. Old tile gabled roof, adjoining Stuart Cottage
on left, listed separately (22/14). Rectangular plan of 3 framed bays with C20 extension at rear.
2 storeys. Road (west) front: irregular. C20 leaded casement windows. Small triangular roof
dormer near centre, with small window; below this a 2-light oriel window with single-light returns
on shaped brackets. Small 2-light window to left of this; plank door on ground floor at left now
disused; a 4-light and a 3-light window to right of this. Entrance door now on gable end in C20
gabled porch. Interior: good timer frame exposed, with large section joists, large posts and
curved braces. Principal team are chamfered.
