11/4 Little Diligent

G.V. II

Cottage. C16, extended and altered C20. Part timber frame with painted brick
infill, part painted brick; old tile gabled and hipped roof. Rectangular plan
of 4 framed bays with gable facing road, and rectangular extension on north
forming an L-plan. Part 2 storeys, part 2 storeys and attic. Old chimney with
3 grouped stacks on ridge. One other chimney on extension, both with clay pots.
C19 irregular casement windows. South gable: one bay. 3-light window over tie
beam. C20 semi-circular bay window with glazing bars and flat roof on ground
floor. Return (east) front: irregular. 2 windows on first floor, 2 windows on
ground floor all of differing sizes. C20 entrance door in lean-to porch at end.
Interior: an interior inspection was not permitted at the time of survey.
