Coventry and Oxford Canals

Footbridge. Dated 1837. Designed by J. Sinclair. Cast iron. English bond brick
abuttments have rounded stone and blue brick copings. Segmental-arched footway
cast in 3 sections has x-framed openwork parapet over basket arch, with openwork
spandrels. Cast inscription: '1837 BRITANNIA FOUNDRY DERBY J. SINCLAIR
ENGINEER'. Sinclair was engineer to the Coventry Canal Company.
